FTC Course details
The course is accredited for 14 Category A CE credits for Naturopathic Doctors, and presents the most recent research and understanding of the assessment and treatment of the human body.
The course provides:
Functional understanding of the human body as it pertains to movement and injury
Treatment guides for all the most common MSK disorders
Assessment strategies for all aspects of the body
Recent research on the use of electro-stim and acupuncture
Corrective Exercises for appropriate injury recovery
Depth of understanding of the fascial system and its role in MSK related disorders
The course will present the most recent research on the functional model of care utilized in treatment of MSK injuries as opposed to the mechanistic model taught in the past and in the current educational institutions.
From there you will be guided through assessment strategies from head to toe to allow for clear direction of care; this will entail functional testing, movement pattern assessment, neuromuscular behaviour and orthopaedic tests. And finally, you’ll be guided through the treatment strategies for common MSK disorders utilizing acupuncture, joint mobilization/manipulation, corrective exercises and various soft tissue approaches along with guides to utilize in practice.
The course will utilize cadaver analysis for clarity in understanding of the use of acupuncture and the theories presented.
The course is very hands on and limited to 8 people to allow for as much 1 on 1 interaction with me as possible.
Upper Extremity
Lower Extremity
• 2 day course focused on Assessment of Lower extremity related disorders
• Treatment guides for all the most common MSK disorders of the lower extremity utilizing acupuncture, joint manipulation/mobilization, corrective exercises, soft tissue approaches
• Recent research on the use of electro-acupuncture for lower extremity related disorders
• Soft tissue palpation of superficial fascial tension
• 2 day course focused on Assessment of Upper extremity related disorders
• Treatment guides for all the most common MSK disorders of the upper extremity utilizing acupuncture, joint manipulation/mobilization, corrective exercises, soft tissue approaches
• Management of Chronic and Acute conditions utilizing neurological principles and tissue repair principles
• Soft tissue palpation of superficial fascial tension
WHAT'S INCLUDED
Each 2 day course provides all the information for detailed assessment and treatment of Upper or Lower extremity related disorders. Treatment blueprints for everything discussed in the course

** Cancellations 14 days or earlier of the course date registered for, NO refund will be provided. However, withdrawal from a course you have registered for greater than 14 days of the course start date a refund will be given minus $100 processing fee.
